Preparations and a premier

Don't let the sunny weather fool you - most of the day was filled with gray skies.  The clouds parted and let the sun shine just in time for my photos.  The umbrella wasn't in vain!  We had a chance for showers today, and, being the prepared person that I am, I kept an umbrella in my purse...just in case.  The last thing I wanted to do today was walk defenselessly across the campus parking lot in the pouring rain.

Hiatus

So, my little hiatus turned into a much longer absence from blogging than I expected.  Sorry!

I've had family in town, and I've been taking advantage of every waking opportunity to spend some good ol' quality time.  I planned to sneak in at least a few posts, but, apparently, this did not happen.

However, I will return to my normal blogging schedule tomorrow, so stay tuned folks!

Today was a beautiful day!  It was a little cooler than it's been lately, but it was a nice change.

Feeling collegiate

Today, I was tired.  And I was tired because I felt like 15 things were going on at once.  You've been there, right?

For me, I had to finish up a paper and the affiliated presentation materials, recruit freshman students for a focus group for a research project, and lead a seminar in class.  Maybe it was all the academic vibes, because my outfit appears to be rather decidedly collegiate.  The glasses, the argyle, the oxfords...I must have really been vibing with the academia today.
