Today I attended the John Frieda Salon Tour in Dallas at the Shops at Park Lane. I received a phenomenal hair transformation, courtesy of one of the JF stylists on the tour, and learned a lot about JF products. Overall, I had a fantastic time!

Giving in
Today was a decidedly flowy skirt day.
I had a whole other outfit picked out to wear today, but I could not resist the power of the flowy skirt. It was calling my name.

Dressing for me
I always enjoy editing my pictures. I'm no pro, but it's a good time to look at what I wore and reflect. Some days I realize I don't really like how I styled an outfit, and other days I love the final outcome. When I was editing these pictures, I realized I loved everything about this outfit.

Juxtaposition
I love fashion. It's just so fun to play around with!
I was still gravitating toward really feminine pieces like my super springy outfit, but I decided to switch it up. I couldn't resist this lacy blouse, but instead of wearing it as feminine as possible (which wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary for me), I decided to add a little bit of edge to it.

A [slightly] warmer day
After much frustration, I got the memory card to work...hooray!
I am beyond excited to get things kicking again!! However, today I spent the day in my pajamas. Winter has attacked Texas with a mighty force.

The big 5-0
Fortunately, I'm not talking about my age...
Welcome to my 50th post!!
Sorry, again, for the lack of content this week. I'd love to bore you with explanations, but I'll save that for another post and make up for it with an outfit.
I've been a little enamored with some of my thrifted pieces lately, and yesterday I was drawn to a more recent thrift purchase: an oversized vintage sweater. There's not much to it - it's just super comfy. This makes it perfect for sitting through 3 hours of class. In fact, I've really been gravitating toward super comfy pieces in general.
And while we're on the topic, I'll point out that you don't have to be bogged down in sweat pants and a faded hoodie to feel comfortable. That's what I love about fashion - there's always an alternative. Next time you're craving a day in sweats, I challenge you to search your closet for something equally comfortable, but more fashion-forward and true to your aesthetic. I promise your closet won't disappoint.
